Michael Rosenberg CBE

It is with regret that the Society passes on the news of the death of Michael Rosenberg CBE.  Michael set up the Ash herd with cattle brought from the Grendon herd and the Winthill herd.  The Ash herd was later gifted to the National Trust at Wimpole, Herts and is still going strong today.

Michael was another 'big noise' in the RBST and was Chairman from 1980-1982 and President in 1987 and 1988.  A true philanthropist, he was passionate about rare breeds and was awarded the CBE in 1986 for his 'unique contribution to genetic conservation through the survival of rare breeds'.  The Society's condolences go to his family .
