Society summer visit 2016

The sun shone for the Society summer visit on 6 August.
The Society was invited to see the Pointer herd of Longhorns belonging to David and Fiona Howden at Ludgershall near Aylesbury on Saturday 6 August.
The day started with a tour of the gardens which supply flowers and vegetables to the Howden's pub The Pointer in the lovely village of Brill. We then saw the Longhorn cattle and fabulous farm buildings before enjoying a lunch of Longhorn beef and Middle White pork at the pub.
