Our first Longhorns arrived back in 2015. Since then my family and I have farmed 250 acres on the edge of beautiful Exmoor on our family farm, Westcott Farm. As well as farming chickens, large black pigs and Exmoor Horn lamb, we have a prized herd of over 100 Longhorn beef cattle, which graze on the grasslands of this part of rural West Somerset.
All of this is now processed in our on farm certified organic butchery. The animals are taken to a certified organic abattoir and then once aged are brought back to the farm to be processed by our master butcher. This short journey of less than 25 miles means minimal stress to the animals whose welfare is at the heart of everything we do.
