Lamberton Longhorns join the Society!

Andrew Donogue from Berwick on Tweed recently joined the Society, registering the prefix ‘Lamberton’ for his fledgling herd of five cow and he is now on the hunt for a suitable bull.   Andrew says, ‘Having some pedigree cattle is something I’ve always wanted to do it was just which breed was the question. I got the opportunity to take on some Longhorn cattle and I have to say, no regrets so far.  This is going to be a family project as my daughter is very interested in them as well.

Long term I’m looking at introducing my own replacements into my commercial suckler herd.  I intend to cross the Longhorn with an Angus and see how these perform as replacements.  Interesting times ahead for us here!!
