John Warner - a thank you

The Society was saddened to hear of the death of John Warner of the Charnwood herd, Leicestershire on 24 April. John established the Charnwood herd of Longhorns in 1992 and had great success in the show ring, most notably with the homebred cow Charnwood Carpathia. John was President of the Society in 2008 and 2009.
John's funeral took place at St Peter's Church, Copt Oak, Markfield, Leicestershire on Thursday 12 May and £873.49 was raised at the collection. This will be split equally between The Air Ambulance Service and Cancer Research UK.
Phyllis and Robert would like to thank Society members and friends for their generous donations, and also for the many sympathy cards they received which were a great comfort to them both at such a difficult time.
