RBST breeding survey - help wanted

Rare Breeds Survival Trust has launched a new native cattle project which will take a two-pronged approach; the first is concerned with identifying breed specific issues, and an analysis of differing approaches to breeding and reproductive technologies.   Best practice guidance for establishing breeding strategies will be created and promoted. 

The second part of the project will focus on the uses of the breeds and the opportunities for extending those uses, thus raising the breeds’ profile and increasing their numbers. 

The project now needs input from cattle owners.   Our British native cattle can thrive in a variety of farming systems - but what drives the decisions behind their breeding?
