Longhorn Cattle Come to Clerkenwell

A real live cattle drive through the heart of Clerkenwell will re-create the historic route taken by farmers driving their herds to Smithfield Market on Saturday 19 June, St John's Day.
Starting at 12.30am at Bennetts Associates offices (formerly the traditional holding pen for cattle in north Clerkenwell), the cows will be driven towards St John Street (which will be closed to traffic and grassed over for the weekend) and their final destination, Smithfield market.
At lunchtime visitors can enjoy a family picnic with ox roast.
