English Winter Fair

20 November 2021 Bingley Hall, Staffordshire County Showground, Staffs, ST18 OBD
The English Winter Fair incorporating the National Calf Show takes place on 20 and 21 November 2021

The Royal Smithfield Club has agreed that the Duke of Norfolk Competition will be hosted by the English Winter Fair again this year. Breed societies will be invited to put forward a purebred Team of Three to represent their breed.  The team can come from either the English Winter Fair pedigree classes or the National Pedigree Calf Show.

This year the English Winter Fair is on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 November, with the Duke of Norfolk Award being competed for at around 11.15 on Sunday.

The National Pedigree Calf Show will also be held again - further details to follow.

The Society offers £1000 to the Supreme Champion if a purebred Longhorn, £500 if it is a halfbred Longhorn, £25 to any first prize winner if out or and/or by a purebred Longhorn, £20 for all purebred entries forward in both the live and carcase competitions.

The Society has had a strong turnout of Longhorns at the English Winter Fair in recent years and would like to consolidate that presence by having more cattle forward this year as well as having a presence with a small stand.  Please consider entering your prime cattle and your calves for this excellent event.
