Show Training Day

24 May 2008 Gupworthy Farm, Wheddon Cross, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 7DA
The Society's third Show Training Day has been arranged to encourage new exhibitors to start showing their cattle. This year's event is to be held at the home of the Gupworthy Herd by kind invitation of George, Jackie and Thea Woollatt

Once again this is intended as a basic "starter" day although there will no doubt be something of interest to the more experienced exhibitor. The whole showing process will be covered from early planning through training, washing and grooming to ringcraft and etiquette.

Pre-booking is essential to facilitate planning and it may be necessary to restrict numbers, so please book early and before the deadline of Saturday 19th April. Bookings and enquiries to Debbie Dann, Tel 0845 017 1027 or email: secretary@longhorncattlesociety.com

Mr. Keith Jempson will lead the day. He is a very experienced cattle exhibitor who will bring his knowledge and expertise of the professional showing world to the day. He will be assisted by the Woollatts who are also experienced show-goers.

In the afternoon Chris Yeoman will give a foot trimming demonstration.

The Woollatts have very kindly offered to provide refreshments.

Biosecurity - As the day will be a practical, hands on one using the Woollatt's cattle it is essential that visitors wear clean clothes and bring clean Wellingtons.
