Hockey’s Farm and butchery opened its doors over 40 years ago but it was in November 2013 that Laura & Jonny and parents Anne & Robin bought the farm. Extended family members Emma, Jack and Emily joined them and quickly the business began to develop and grow. Hard work, vision and enthusiasm coupled with a love of good food with provenance always being the driving force Hockey’s Farm Shop soon began to win awards.

Hockey’s Farm serves both the local community and the tourism trade within the beautiful New Forest. There is also an online shop which means the produce can be enjoyed anywhere in the UK.

Supporting other local farmers and producers is a key element of the business; the pork produced on the farm has New Forest Marque and Hampshire Fare status. During Pannage Season (September to December) Hockey’s pigs can roam freely on the forest and their pork develops an especially delicious flavour – as mentioned in the National Geographic Travellers’ magazine

New Forest farmers’ produce; Adam Coutts` beef, Paul Tanner’s turkeys and Wendy Maughan’s pork and lamb is also supplied to Hockey`s. Other meats are sourced usually from Hampshire or neighbouring farmers and counties.

The Farm Shop stocks an extensive range of local produce which sit alongside an essential and premium range of products too. Local cheeses, organic glass bottled milk, tomatoes, cakes and bread can be bought as can Italian pasta, local gins and a well-chosen selection of wines to name but a few of the delicious range on sale.

The Farmyard Café, open daily, serves traditional breakfasts, Lavazza coffee, light lunches and locally made cakes and scones. The café is licenced to sell alcohol to accompany your meal.

The Farm also offers bric-a-brac shopping, tranquil seating areas, a wander around the animals and most importantly a relaxed atmosphere set within the beautiful New Forest National Park.
