EBLEX National Breeding Survey

29/10/2014

EBLEX have commissioned an internationally recognised group of experts.

EBLEX have commissioned an internationally recognised group of experts to undertake a review of genetic improvement services delivered to the beef and sheep industry.
The project has three main aims:
to quantify the financial benefit of genetic improvement in the sector;
to review the delivery of breeding improvement services and identify opportunities to improve uptake;
to explore opportunities for implementing new approaches to breeding – including potential genomic approaches
The research team has developed a 15-20 minute online survey for ram and bull breeders to gain a clearer insight into the way breeders use breeding improvement services.
We would very much like to get your views. The site is hosted at http://beefsheepsurvey.com/ - simply fill in your email address and click the box to get started.
If you have a slow internet connection or an older version of your web browser you may struggle to access the survey.  If this is the case please please email Sam Boon at Samuel.boon@eblex.ahdb.org.uk and he will send you a copy of the survey to complete and return in a reply-paid envelope.
