Jess Marshall, young Longhorn member and media star!

Jess Marshall is 11 years old and a Junior member of the Longhorn Cattle Society.  She keeps her grand-dad, Stephen Horrocks in line and shows his cattle both in Longhorn classes and in stockhandling competitions.

Stephen and Jess recently competed at Garstang Show and Jess was interviewed by the local radio station the day before the judging.  We'll upload this file when we can - it makes for good listening!

Jess and Stephen also took cattle to Cartmel Show.  There are no Longhorn classes at the show but their team of three managed to beat all the other breeds to win the 'Best Farmers Group of Three' competition.  Jess also won the young handlers competition and was filmed giving a talk about her cow to the commentator, Philip Halhead.
