Holmfirth Auction Market held
their annual Prime Cattle Show & Sale on Monday 8 December and the
Longhorns were well represented with a 'one, two' in the Native Steer
class.
The
Saxby family from Buxton had three steers entered, Litton Thor, 21
months old weighed 580kg and sold for 248ppkg. Litton Treemon, 22 months
old, took second place in the show for Native Steers, weighed 615kg and
sold for 252ppkg to Brosters Farm Shop. Litton Takeitall 21 months old, weighed 570kg and sold for 242ppkg.
Ian Gregory, also from Buxton, took first place in the Native steer class with his steer weighing 630kg and selling for 258ppkg to Albion Farm Shop & Cafe.
