Robert Bakewell plaque

The Society recently attended the unveiling of a plaque at Melton Mowbray Market to commemorate Robert Bakewell, the 'founder' of the Longhorn breed.
The plaque had been commissioned by the New Dishley Society and representatives of the New Dishley Society, Melton Market Auctioneers and the Longhorn Cattle Society joined other distinguished guests to unveil the plaque.
