What a day we had at the Society's Spring Show and Sale at Worcester on Saturday.
Our judge Wendy Finucane did an amazing job with quality cattle in every class in front of her. Her breed champion was the 2022 born bull Longbridge Warren from Jane Grant and Trish McDonnell who went on to sell for 5000gns to Harriet Butler of the Willowhill herd. It was a day for the boys in the show ring with Wendy's reserve champion being another 2022 born bull, Gentons Wentworth from Bertie Facon. He sold for 3000gns to Andrew Goodman of the Witley herd who also took home Carreg Warrior for 4000gns.
It was girl power in the sale ring, with 2022 heifer Melbourne Park Kiggle from Ben & Tori Stanley selling to Ben and Jen Sutton for a breed record 6000gns. Tori and Ben also sold their Melbourne Park Kate for 4200gns to Jane Grant & Trish McDonnell. John and Pat Stanley sold Blackbrook Godiva to David Blockley for 5000gns.
